We had a wonderful time bay fishing with our 5 and 7 year old this weekend. Chris was so kind and patient with the kids—baiting hooks, fixing tangled lines, etc. He put us on some nice fish and seeing the kids light up when they hooked one was such a gift. We also were delighted to witness a nearby pod of dolphins that played near our boat. The guided trip was truly a highlight of our Summer. Had a great time with Captain Chris and Frenzy Guide Service, on the water yesterday. We came to Galveston on a last minute trip. Had two 15 yr olds and the wife. The girls wanted a fishing trip. Got in contact with Chris Monday morning and he accommodated his schedule for Tuesday afternoon trip. Poor planning on my part. Met him down at the marina and hit a couple spots that were pretty slow. He didn’t waste time if the fish weren’t biting within just a few minutes. We’d hit a new spot. Then we hit “The Spot”. All four of us were hooked up on one occasion. We sat in one spot for several hours and smoked em! The teenagers quit fishing because their hands and arms were hurting from reeling in fish! We used up all the live bait we bought right at quitting time. What more could you ask for? Best time I’ve had on the water in years Thanks again Captain for the big smiles and tight lines. This was my first experience using Chris at Frenzy Guide Service and, honestly, the first time fishing offshore out of Galveston. I cannot say nor add enough good things about Chris. I took my two teenage sons and myself for a half-day charter. We had an absolutely fantastic trip, catching a mixture of sheepshead, sea catfish (thrown back of course!), redfish, a black fin shark and some red drum. We fished around the ship channel jetties then out in open water. The apex of the trip was seeing both of my sons catch two absolutely huge (42” long and ~25 lbs) bull red fish. Chris was immensely kind, calm and great to work with (including after the time that my 13 yr old dropped his rod overboard!)…but with a positive ending as they actually “fished” the lost rod back up. He was also very patient with us as we learned different fishing techniques. We caught so many different fish, spotted sea trout, black drum, flounder, sheep's head, white king fish, lady fish, and a bonnet shark!
